Seeds 3 is a drop-wall structure that may have been developed by Kumi Korf. Each of the four walls of the cube fold back to reveal a triangular shaped space. One of the spaces holds an accordion book filled with original watercolors of various seeds. The book is covered with painted book cloth. The recessed label is foil stamped on paper; an additional recess holds seeds encapsulated in mica. The remaining three spaces have various seed specimens in sealed glass tubes. The spaces are structurally supported with copper rod.
Paper coverings are multi-run screen prints, hand-dyed with Moriki edging. Base and removable title band are of painted book cloth. Recessed into the base seed specimens encapsulated in mica.
A non-linear text runs along the interior triangular bases:
loners, harboring embryos
endlessly varied, complex & puzzling
foundation of human and animal life on earth
marking both beginning and end of a cycle.
